Uptown
Charlotte calls its downtown Uptown, and it is organised into four wards around the crossing of Trade and Tryon. Banking towers, hotel dining rooms, the arena and the stadium. It has the city's highest concentration of tall buildings and, after a brutal 2025, noticeably fewer independent restaurants than it had.
